An Evening of Gourmet Discovery 2007
All aboard for the great gourmet tour scheduled for Tuesday, November 6. This year, for the 6th annual Alzheimer Society of Laval benefit Evening of Gourmet Discovery, we have many surprises in store. The format is simple: the evening starts off at the Sheraton Laval with cocktails and welcome address. Then, 30 limousines depart one by one, each one taking a party of eight on a gastronomic adventure where five well-known restaurateurs await them. Throughout the evening, we will have the opportunity to enjoy five-course meals specially prepared for us and served with wines carefully selected for the occasion. Those who are interestedin signing up for this evening of one thousand and one discoveries can reserve a spot by calling Manon Miousse at 450-978-0966 at the Society. Tickets cost $250 (including gratuities). Places are disappearing fast; act quickly so you do not miss out!
The RBC Dominion Securities Benefit Concert / Laval 2007
The Alzheimer Society of Laval wishes to thank RBC Dominion Securities/ Laval and their Vice-President, portfolio manager, Roberto Marrocco, for assuming the role of honorary president for the seventh annual benefit concert. Their efforts have meant that a cheque for $47,450 was presented to the ASL, money that will help finance the services it makes available to people living with Alzheimer’s and their family care-givers.

A great Provincial Walk in 2007
Following the success of the Walk of the memory 2006 organized by the Alzheimer Society of Laval, the Alzheimer Federation of Quebec proposed at the regional Societies to organize a Walk in their area. Thus, on Sunday May 27, 2007, 20 Societies held a Walk (sometimes more than one) on their territory in order to sensitize the population with the disease of Alzheimer and to pile up funds to offer services to the touched people, and Laval does not make exception!
Walk for fund with Jacques Demers!
The second edition of the Walk of the memory of Laval was hold, on Sunday May 27, 2007, in the streets of the St.Rose district in Laval. As last year, runners had chosen between a course of 3 km or 5 km. This year we invited for breakfast of the walkers as from 8 h. The departure, planned for 10 a.m., bring together all the participants, musical animation accompanied them all along the course. Walk ended in a great Community dinner where prices were given to the people having piled up the most funds.
We invited you, thus, to walk with us and to make Walk of memory RONA a great success! Registration was available at the cost of $10 for elder or a student, $15 for an adult or $30 for a family. However, if more than $200 in mixed liability companies were compiled, your expenses of inscription were free.
Placed under the co-presidency of honor of Mr. Jacques Demers, ex-trainer of the Canadians of Montreal and Mr. Charles Gingras, owner of store IGA Extra Daigle, Walk of memory was a great idea to be in group, with friends or family!
